Hungary Golden Visa Program
Hungary's 'golden visa' program was created to encourage non-EU/EFTA citizens to invest in Hungary. Among other advantages, it is also a fast option for obtaining a residence permit in Hungary. Hungarian foreign investor residence permit ('Golden Visa') holders receive a temporary residence permit for ten years, and this permit can be renewed for another ten years.

Conditions
What are the investment options for the applicant to obtain a residence permit?
• Acquiring a Hungarian real estate investment fund worth at least €250,000 issued by a real estate fund registered by the National Bank of Hungary
• Purchasing a residential property in Hungary with a value of at least €500,000 (there is no obligation to use the property) or
• Making a financial donation of at least €1,000,000 to a university managed by a public interest trust foundation with charitable purposes such as supporting education, scientific research, or artistic creation.
Required Documents
Applicants must also provide the following documents:
• Certificate of investment
• Proof that they have sufficient resources from their legally obtained income and savings to cover their living, accommodation, travel, and healthcare expenses
• Proof of accommodation in Hungary
• Document showing that they are covered by full healthcare services or are in a position to cover the cost of such healthcare services.
Eligible Family Members
The golden visa allows the applicant's family members to reside in Hungary. Who are the family members entitled to residency?
• Spouse
• Minor dependent children (including adopted children) and minor dependent siblings who are under the custody of the Golden visa holder.
Family members have the same rights as the Golden visa holder.
