Spain Digital Nomad Visa Program Overview
Spain’s Digital Nomad Visa allows eligible non-EU remote employees and self-employed professionals working with overseas companies to legally live and work in Spain. The programme offers a streamlined route to residency, enabling applicants to continue their international careers while benefiting from Spain’s high quality of life, modern infrastructure, and vibrant cultural environment.

Requirements
The Principal Applicant
The principal applicant must meet ALL of the requirements below:
Education or Experience: Diploma or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
Remote Work Authorisation: Authorisation from your employer/company to work remotely.
Social Security: Coverage from your home country’s social security system or registration with Spanish Social Security.
Qualifying Dependents
To qualify as dependents, applicants must be:
The spouse or unmarried partner.
Dependent children and dependent relatives in the ascending line who form part of the family unit.
Salary Requirements
€34,500 for the main applicant only- equivalent to €2,875/monthly.
€47,500 for the main applicant plus one family member – equivalent to €3,959 euros/monthly.
€52,000 for the main applicant plus two family members – equivalent to €4,334 euros/monthly.
€56,500 for the main applicant plus three family members- equivalent to €4.709 euros/monthly.
€61,000 for the main applicant plus four family members- equivalent to €5,084 euros/monthly.
Work Relationship: Proof of an ongoing work relationship for more than 3 months before applying
(demonstrated with 3 invoices or 3 payslips).
The company client or employer should be existing for more than one year.
3 Pathways
Employee of a Foreign Company
Working remotely for a company based outside Spain.

Self-Employed / Freelancer
Providing services to international clients.

- Service agreements with clients

- Proof of self-employment registration
- Commitment to Spanish Social Security
Company Owner
Running your own company remotely.
Documents required:
- Company registration documents
- Shareholder documentation (if applicable)
- Tax declarations
- Proof of income (salary, dividends, invoices)
- Company bank statements
- Commitment to Spanish Social Security
Note: Applicant may also contract with a Spanish company, provided that the income from Spain doesn’t exceed 20% of your total.
