The exhibition is a spectacular joint art project between the photography-duo Ľubomíra Saba and Zuzany Sénašiovej /LSZ photography/, the ethnologist Katarína Sabovej and painters Sarah I. Avni and Ivanu Mintálovú, who bring traditional values back to life in a modern and original art way. The uniqueness of these original paintings is a rare combination of art and science – photography, ethnology, face-painting and artistic painting. The traditional wedding headgears called “party” selected from different Slovak regions are complemented with painted folk ornaments to present these long forgotten customs to the contemporary world. “PARTY in the 21st Century” sponsored by Onur Sumer, the Honorary Consul of Slovak Republic in Kocaeli and curated by Irem Konucu, Art Historian and Museologist, is exhibited at Art Gallery of Izmit Municipality, in November 2021.
